so - i lost my cat, kuti, on january 7 while tending our little sari-sari store. she got overly excited with the new surrounding, and hurriedly went outside without my knowledge. i tried calling her name every morning at 4am in front of our store hoping that she would recognize my voice. it's been a week now, and sad to say, i hadn't seen any sign of her. it is extremely difficult for me to move on, especially now that i already created a special bond with her. she was my constant companion, computer buddy, sleeping buddy, and living alarm clock. i am wishing and praying that she will come back someday. i know, it's just a cat, but anyone who is a cat lover can relate to what i'm going through right now. it will get better, but for now, i have to say goodbye to blogspot for a while.
au revoir.

garbage container from old rubber tires
i am beyond thrilled to share with you guys this upcycled garbage container from old tires. nope, this is not a diy project, but if you are savvy enough and with the right tools, you could re-create this one. i picked it for a steal price of 350 pesos along daang hari, molino road. hand made, upcycled, and super cool.

market square: cake stand and diy ceramic shell planters
happy new year, blog friends!
today's post is about this gorgeous cake holder from my favorite shop, market square located at treasure trove, festival mall. i luckily got the price down to 2200 pesos from the original price of 2500 pesos. as you may remember, i already purchased something similar to this in beautiful distressed red color. you can find the blog post here.
the turquoise ceramic shell decors were from wilkon home depot, alabang. i decided to turn them into planters for my aloes and cactus. aren't they cute?
