chalkboard trend is now considered as a design staple. so, i am joining the chalkboard bandwagon with this super simple diy chalkboard cutting board. this is a great summer afternoon project, you'll be finished in no time.
this dingy bamboo cutting board was saved from landfill hell with the help of satin glo black magic from nippon paint. there's no need to buy any special chalkboard paint since this can do the job pretty well.
paint as usual. allow to dry.
condition the newly painted surface by applying chalk all over. wipe and repeat.
easy peasy! use it to write down menu of the day, grocery list, reminders, or just plain inspirational quotes. bonus point for being able to use the front and back part of cutting board.
