diy: dip-dyed native baskets (sold)

this trend started on 2012, but it was in full force late last year.  it was everywhere thanks to martha stewart and anthropologie.  paint dipped or dip-dyeing is one of those trends which has a long staying power, and honestly, i will never ever get tired of it.  i especially love how dip-dyeing adds a modern edge to a rather plain and utilitarian basket.  this is a super easy (and practically free) diy project with a surprisingly high-end result.

old native baskets.  dusted off and ready for paint.

i used davies (my go-to brand for paints) megacryl in only orange.  i skipped painter's tape because i wanted the finished product to look more rustic and casual.

perfect weekend activity for summer season.

done!  i am pretty pleased with the result!
