there were tons and tons of beautiful finds - filipino handicrafts, ceramics, kitchen items, home decors and accessories, designer goods, branded surplus jeans and tops, miniature plants in apothecary jars, scented candles, handmade soaps, locally made perfumes, high-quality bags and shoes, and soooooo much more!
sure, i made up my mind to buy nothing new at the market, but then i was charmed by this unique tribal woven backpack by northloom. i picked the black and white design because the size was right for me, and i can easily pair it with most of my outfits. the discounted price of 1350 pesos was also extremely hard to resist. for the record, this bag is made from authentic abel material meticulously hand crafted by weavers from ilocos norte. i got the real deal and not just any mass-produced, factory made, tribal inspired backpacks at shopping malls. there were also plenty of ladies' bags and wallets with the same interesting abel details.
after hopping from one shop to another, we finally made a stop at yabang pinoy. my sister purchased a cute taho printed t-shirt for my dad. there were so many nice looking t-shirts from yabang pinoy, but i was a little lukewarm about the extremely high crew necklines. they were simply not too flattering for my body type. i decided then to just buy an abaca bracelet and two cute stickers for 50 pesos a piece. you should visit their online shop http://www.yabangpinoy.com for more pinoy themed t-shirts, planners and journals, books, car stickers, and other awesome stuff.
hey, thanks swapna! i adore your shop, and i truly love the unique indian fabrics - especially the vintage looking ones!
