i had been itching to thrift the whole day because i needed a few black t-shirts in my wardrobe. i just realized i had way too many buttondowns but not enough t-shirts. so, i decided to visit king bhats frc supermall in imus, cavite at around 6 pm. traffic was horrible due to the holiday rush and it was a weekend, but nothing can stop a thrifter with a mission. i arrived at around 7 pm, and lucky enough for me, there weren't too many customers. shopping was quite relaxing.
i'm not sure if it was 50% off sale day, but all men's and women's tops were priced at 50 pesos each. there were plenty of vintage men's polo shirts and buttondowns that i didn't get because i was very selective with my purchases at the time. my goal was to buy only black t-shirts and i must stick with that. it was a good plan, i have to say, because i had enough cash left to hunt for leather goods.
bags, backpacks, and clutches were on new arrival racks located at the other side of the shop. unfortunately, they were not on sale. bummer. i had been wavering in my mind whether to get the francois marot clutch or the valentino orlandi clutch for a few good minutes. i chose the latter since i didn't have enough red leather items in my collection. the super nice cashier gave me a discount. well, i sort of haggled the price and the shop was about to close since it was already 8 pm. i got the valentino orlandi for only 250 pesos down from its original price of 380 pesos.
i actually did pretty awesome for staying within my budget. it was such a winning and satisfying thrift shopping experience. happy thrifting guys!
