what we don't have: pinterest worthy kitchen.
what we have: real kitchen for real people.
what we don't have: a large floor space.
what we have: warm, cozy, and inviting little space.
what we don't have: dishwasher.
what we have: washing by hands sans gloves. science proves that it could help boost immunity.
what we don't have: range hood.
what we have: a good excuse to do deep frying and grilling outdoor. party time, everyone.
what we don't have: professional-style gas range.
what we have: single induction cooker. less to clean, less headache.
what we don't have: oven and baking tools.
what we have: a neighborhood full of bakeshops.
what we don't have: a refrigerator - or, the ubiquitous smeg.
what we have: an opportunity to exercise our buying decision. less food waste at the end of the day.
what we don't have: high-end dishware and cookware.
what we have: cheap and practical set. i wouldn't cry if someone accidentally breaks it.
what we don't have: expensive, drool-worthy canning jars.
what we have: repurposed old jars for free (free!) and a few from japan homes bought for less than a hundred each.
what we don't have: coffee maker.
what we have: well, this - and only this - i am dreaming to purchase one day. i'm still unsure though since i hate to see another kitchen appliance sit on top of our small countertop and collect dust.
forgiving is much easier when i focus all my energy on what our tiny kitchen can do for me in spite of all my shortcomings. after all, a house should feel like a home and not a prison.
